He learns that the Emperor took "the Code" from V.V., which made him immortal. C.C. appears and reveals to Lelouch that her wish is to die, then transports him to "C's World" for his safety, where he witnesses her past. After realizing her true desire, Lelouch returns to reality, proclaiming that he will be the only one to fulfill her wish. He attacks the Sword of Akasha with Shinkirō and saves C.C., only to discover that she has lost all her memories, except for those from before she received the Geass power.
